Regional Sessions of EYP Finland 2014 – Call for Officials now open!

EYP Finland is organising its Regional Sessions for the seventh time in October-November this year. The sessions will take place in Helsinki (24–26 October), Savonlinna (31 October–2 November), Salo (7–9 November) and Oulu (14–16 November). Each session will have a day of officials’ training, a day of teambuilding, a day of committee work and a one-day General Assembly. The Regional Sessions act as a preliminary round of the 21st National Session of EYP Finland, to be held in Turku in January 2014. The Session Presidents will be announced shortly.

We are now glad to open the Call for Officials to the four sessions. We are looking for chairs, journalists, vice-presidents and editors. The Regional Sessions in Helsinki and Salo will host a team of 16 chairs (including the board), eight journalists and one or two editors; the Regional Session in Savonlinna and Oulu will host a team of 12 chairs, six journalists and one or two editors. The sessions are especially suitable for aspiring officials, but more experienced alumni are naturally needed, too. Furthermore, we place emphasis on fairness and transparency of the selection procedure. Thus, we encourage all applicants to pay attention to their applications.

The participation fee for Finnish officials is 25 EUR. There is no fee for foreign officials, but participants need to cover their travel expenses by themselves.

The application instructions can be found here and on the alumni platform, and all applications are to be submitted to applications@eypfinland.org by 24 August 23.59 CET. Each applicant will be informed of the outcome of the selection within two weeks of the selection.
