EYP Finland is searching for School Ambassadors for the School Tour of 2025!

Join EYP Finland’s School Tour in Fall 2025 as a School Ambassador!

Are you interested in societal and current issues? Have you already taken part in EYP events? Would you like to gain more experience in public speaking, develop your understanding of European affairs, and promote EYP to other young people?

Now’s your chance to join EYP’s volunteer team and take part in school visits across Finland! Previous experience is not required: what matters is your motivation and interest in our activities.

During August, September, and October 2025, EYP School Ambassadors will visit schools in their local area in person or remotely. Each visit consists of a short, approximately 20-minute presentation about the EU and EYP’s activities. School visits can be done individually or with a friend. We will provide you with the necessary training and materials for giving the presentation. Travel costs will be reimbursed according to the cheapest available public transport.

You can also sign up to become an EYP Ambassador at your own school. As your school’s EYP Representative, you will act as a link between your school and EYP Finland, give presentations about EYP’s activities, and inform students about EYP Finland’s events throughout your studies.

The school visits are part of the Your European Citizenship project, which aims to increase young people’s awareness of Europe and the European Union, as well as to inspire and motivate them to develop their skills and become active citizens. Through the school visits, we also aim to recruit new participants to our regional sessions in Mikkeli (24–26 October) and Kokkola (7–9 November).

What do we offer you?

As an EYP School Ambassador, you will gain valuable experience relevant to your future career, a certificate for your duties, and an opportunity to learn more about EU topics, political decision-making, and other social issues. You will also gain experience in a leadership role.

In addition to the above, you will receive a 50% discount on the ticket to EYP Finland’s Annual Celebration after completing three visits, and a completely free ticket after completing six. The Annual Celebration will take place in Finland at the end of 2025.

When and where?

School visits will take place in August, September, and October.

Training sessions (on Zoom):
– Monday 18 August at 17:00–18:00
– Tuesday 27 August at 19:00–20:00

Can’t attend live? No worries! The training will be recorded and available for later viewing.
